I’ve been reading this guide and find that it explains everything about this obscure game.

I still can’t get over how they stole another game’s name, especially since their stupid game is just light rugby for people with no attention span and there isn’t even a ball, or the continuous use of foot.

All games played on foot in a field were versions of football. This differentiated from sports not played on foot, like polo.

Fair comparison.
Never played the American Foosball but enjoyed playing rugby at school immensely, one the faster runners in a group of fat kids meant I was unstoppable, hooray for being not being serious enough about sport to be in a group of kids who could run for more than a minute without collapsing.

I mean, if you think about it, stealing something from someone else and then making it your own is what America is all about.

Like the invention of the plane?

Planes, cars (my state’s standardized hs test credited Henry Ford with inventing the automobile), and our nation.

Henry Ford inventing the automobile is a bit much, the first mass produced automobile maybe.
